Cytomel is a synthetic thyroid hormone that exists only in tablets. It is one of the most powerful thyroid hormones and its properties are strongly anabolic.

There are 2 types of synthetic thyroid hormones. A distinction is made between thyroid hormones of the L-T4 type and those of the L-T3 type, such as Cytomel. By far the more potent of the two is Cytomel. People who have tried it report that the results obtained with Cytomel are 4 to 5 times better than those with type L-T4. The mode of action of Cytomel is as follows: it increases protein synthesis and therefore produces muscle mass gain. In addition Cytomel is an excellent fat burner: accelerates the use of carbohydrates and fat burning by making more RNA (Ribonucleic Acid) by raising the basal metabolism. This property allows the bodybuilder to use Cytomel during periods of competition preparations in order to obtain a more striated musculature.
